Greentown Youth League Football is a recreational club for youth in grades K-6. We offer two levels of play: 

1. Flag Football-(For youth in grades K-2.) Flag teams are a mixture of K-2 aged kids on teams. Flag Football is intramural & plays teams made up of players within the league and sometimes other local leagues. While the majority of games will be at home, some may be at other local schools within our Pigskin League. Flag game and practice information will be emailed to parents after registration ends and the 26/27 school year begins.  Flag teams will be coached by an adult and will be assisted by high school football players.

Flag players will receive a team shirt prior to the first game and photos. Players will need to supply black shorts or pants, a mouthguard, a water bottle, and cleats, if desired. ALL PLAYERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO USE A MOUTHGUARD.

2. Tackle Football-(For youth in grades 3-6) Tackle football is part of the Pigskin League, which plays other schools/clubs.  Generally, each team will be made up of a single grade and will attempt to play the same grades at other schools. This is NOT ALWAYS perfect as a few smaller schools have combined teams because of low enrollment. Tackle coaches will be contacting parents about practices. Practices will start in July. Tackle game information will be posted on GameChanger when we receive them from the Pigskin League. 

At uniform pickup, players will receive loaned equipment from the league. This will include: practice and game jerseys, pants, helmets with chinstraps, and pads. Players will ONLY be required to purchase a large, reliable water bottle, cleats, and a mouthguard prior to the first practice. Players may choose to add visors to their helmets. FOR SAFETY- VISORS MUST BE CLEAR AND NON-REFLECTIVE. The reason for this is for officials, coaches, and medical personnel to be able to view the player's eyes to assess mental status.

PLEASE BE SURE THE EMAIL AND PHONE PROVIDED IN THE REGISTRATION ARE CORRECT. THEY WILL BE USED AS THE INTIAL POINT OF CONTACT FOR PLAYERS AND PARENTS BY COACHES. Once the season begins, all further communication will be completed using the GameChanger app.
